Ten letters from Ed to his parents and Anna describing in detail his tour of the West. Ed describes Chicago, a tour there of Swift's, a meat packing business; a day at South Cheyenne Canyon, Colorado; riding a mule through the Grand Canyon; touring Los Angeles and San Francisco; and hiking in Yosemite and Banff, Alberta. Many letters are written on hotel letterhead, including pictorial letterhead of The Antlers in Colorado Springs, and Bright Angel Camp, Grand Canyon, featuring a photomechanical print by Fred Harvey.
